Corporation Strategy of Tauron Group as well as the Generation Area Tauron Polska Energia SA Strategy for years 2009 – 2012 with a perspective to 2020 stipulate the creation of an integrated generation entity. Works on the Tauron Group generation assets pooling are underway.

 Currently, there are preparatory actions undertaken with regard to incorporation of Stalowa Wola Power Plant to PKE, we are also working on a new internal organization model of the company after the incorporation. Pursuant to the stipulations made, the model focus will set on the key processes management. Such an approach will ensure optimum reaction towards current and future challenges as well as enhancement of the company management and effectiveness.

 Due to the implementation of the new business model in Tauron Polska Energia SA Group, Tauron Polska Energia will take over from PKE tasks related to electrical energy trade, fuel purchase and also integration of the purchase functions on the group level. The establishment of the so-called shared service centers is also planned. Having completed the reorganization process, PKE will be in charge of execution of the power production processes and maintenance of the machinery and facilities as well as preparation and execution of investment processes in the integrated Generation Area.

 All these undertakings aim at more effective utilization of resources, operational cost reduction and obtaining measurable benefits of the scale effect certainly taking into account actual conditions of PKE operations. So far, an analysis of the present condition has been carried out. Its result will enable the assessment of current action methods and business processes executed in PKE SA and other Tauron generation companies on strategic and operational levels and the analysis will also present a comparison with both Polish and European best power industry practices. Process benchmarking will be the basis for marking areas further potential improvement.

 We are facing a time of hard work the result of which for our shareholders inclusive of PKE employees will be a satisfactory return on the invested capital.
