Power and heating generating plant Katowice is currently preparing for the implementation of the Integrated Quality Management, Environment Management and Work Health/Safety Management System complying with PN-EN ISO 9001:2001, PN-EN ISO 14001:2005, PN-N-18001:2004 standards.
The preparations began with review of the management in relation to its compliance with appropriate standards. This enabled us to analyse compliance of hitherto existing management system with the requirements of the implemented standards. The management, implementation team as well as the representative and appointed employees attended a series of trainings.
As a result, full system documentation was elaborated. As a next step, prepared procedures and documents will be implemented. Special attention will be paid to the conditions resulting from the presence of power and heating plant Katowice within PKE SA structures.
Following the elaboration, implementation and certification of the Integrated Management System, which is to be accomplished in 2006, it will be subject to systematic audits aiming at investigating if the system complies with the standards. These will provide the Management with essential information on its effectiveness. First audits comprising the elements of training will be delivered by employees of power and heating plant Katowice and Libra Consulting experts.
