Quality International QI 2010 Competition Jury under the auspices of the Ministry of Regional Development, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and the Polish Forum ISO 9000 Club together with the competition organizer – the Business Forum awarded PKE SA Jaworzno III Power Plant Complex of Vocational Schools the laureate title and the golden emblem ‘the Highest Quality QI 2010’.
The award was given in the highest quality management category for the Integrated Management System compliant with ISO 9001 in operation for 7 years. The laureate title and the silver emblem was awarded to Jaworzno III Power Plant in the highest quality product category for the fly ash used in the production of concrete. In the substantiation of the QI 2010 silver emblem award given to Jaworzno III Power Plant the Competition Jury included the following reasons: unquestionable highest quality of the product submitted to the program, certificates, awards and distinctions awarded to the company. Over 300 applications were submitted for the competition in three categories: QI Product – the highest quality product, QI Services – highest quality services and QI Order – highest quality management by entities grouped in three categories depending on the employment volume.
In the first round, the competition jury selected the finalists in each category and group assessing the substance of the submitted motions. The finalists then took part to the second stage of the competition where particular company achievements were evaluated in accordance with the evaluation sheet filled in by the competitors. Analysis of the official data as well as the opinion of business organizations, certifying entities and appointed experts were the basis for the title and emblems awarding. QI Quality Forum is an undertaking addressed to the institutions, producers and service providers in operation on the territory of Poland which have a clear quality policy with reference to the product, service or management system; organizations which pride in having world-class achievements. The competition aim is to show the potential of the Polish market and to facilitate creation of new patterns for the market quality development. It is assumed to bring a positive impact on the competitiveness increase with respect to the Polish institutions, producers and service providers on Europeans and global markets and above all the products and services offered by them which are characterized with highest quality parameters. The competition goal is to select and honor these entities which distinguish themselves with diligence concerning the quality of the products and services they offer.
