Adam Graczyński Silesian Scholarship Fund scholarships were granted for the twentieth time. Zygmunt Łukaszczyk, Silesian Voivod, Chairman of the Fund Committee handed 30 scholarships to talented Silesian students who have difficult material situation.
The Silesian Scholarship Fund was set up as an original initiative of Adam Graczyński, member of the Senate in January 2001. The first founders were Silesian companies which donated PLN 120,000 to the benefit of the Establishment Fund. Południowy Koncern Energetyczny SA was among the donors and the company has been actively supporting the fund operations from the very beginning.
Pursuant to the Silesian Scholarship Fund Bylaws all higher schools student who are citizens of the Silesian Voivodship and who in the previous semester had the average minimum 4.5 and who can document their difficult material situation can apply for the scholarships.
Due to the assistance and generosity of the grantors, the Fund awards scholarships to Silesian youths – talented, young people whose hard economic situation often hinders development of their talents and skills.
