The First Bell Has Sounded

2009.08.25

The time of summer holidays passed by very quickly and the beginning of a new school year definitely ended the blissful laziness for all pupils and students. School reality, not a dull one, touches also the future miners from Jaworzno and Libiaz.

Students attending the Upper-Secondary School Complex no 6 in Jaworzno and the School Complex in Libiaz are under the auspices of Poludniowy Koncern Weglowy SA. The company signed the patronage contract with both schools. Thanks to participation in the education of young people the company secures the inflow of well-qualified young personnel. Those who attend the classes under the auspices of PKW SA have the positions and work in PKW companies guaranteed. They only need to fulfill three conditions: their grade average throughout the entire schooling cannot be lower than 3.5, they need to pass the matura exam and the exam certifying their vocational qualifications. A safe working place in a stable company is worth the effort.

The students have 10 months of intensive study ahead of them. An incentive for the struggle will definitely be the recollection of the school year ceremonial ending. On that day in Jaworzno the best students were honored with prizes and diplomas for very good grades and active participation in subject contests, competitions and sport tournaments. In Libiaz School Complex, during the ceremony nine best students from the classes under the auspices of PKW SA were given in-kind prizes funded by PKW SA.
