Not only is Elvita’s operational area expanding on yearly basis but the number of the company divisions is also growing. The beginnings were rather modest when in 1998 Jaworzno III Power Plant isolated outpatient clinics from its structure. This resulted in the establishment of Elvita.

The acquisition of the competitive medical outpatient center – GZLA in Jaworzno -was the next step to the company development. Later Elvita took over health center for miners and then yet another center located in Janina Mining Company in Libiąż. Next outpatients centers were opened in Jaworzno and in Katowice. Elvita was becoming more and more popular on the health care market and the number of patients was gradually growing.

Tauron Capital Group Restructuring Plan, the group Elvita is part of, stipulates a gradual consolidation of outpatient center. Therefore Proelmed from Laziska Power Plant has been operating under the auspices of Elvita since 2009 and El Servis, which used to provide medical services for Łagisza Power Plant, was taken over in 2010. From then on majority of PKE employees’ health are taken care of by Elvita. In May 2010, the following entities were also taken over by the company: Enion’s occupational medicine center, sanatorium ‘Elektron’ in Ustroń and Health Care Center in Częstochowa. Although one might consider the pace of the company development truly amazing, plans of further restructuring concerning the medical activity in the group suggest the pace will increase even more. It seems that the medical services provided in other companies belonging to Tauron Group will also be supplied by Elvita. However, the plans must be realized in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the social agreements in force in particular companies. The final move is to transform Elvita into a joint stock company and establish and a network of cooperating health care centers simultaneously setting up new ones.
