Until the end of February the majority of works were carried out on the new power unit boiler room where the boiler foundations and circulation path foundations were laid, and the external boiler room staircase was constructed. The boiler foundation was also backfilled to the level of 0.9 m. The following primary works were also executed: concreting of the boiler room external (eastern) wall foundation footing, concreting of the electrostatic precipitator switching station foundation, the electrostatic precipitator foundation backfill was completed. The completion of the heat main pipelines construction assembly was also a vital stage of the project.

Jaworzno power unit will fire both agricultural biomass and forest biomass. Taking into account the facilities for the former type of biomass – the reinforcement and concreting of the four silos foundations were carried out, the assembly of the tower crane to be used during the construction of agricultural biomass facilities was finished as well as the concreting of the foundations of the scraper conveyor and belt conveyor supports and the main transshipment silo hub.

In addition, the concrete wall to the ceiling level over the silos 1 to 4 technical room was carried out, the concreting of the technical room ceiling above silos 1 to 4 was done. The steel support construction of the pipe conveyor was delivered as well as the construction of the weighing conveyor room. The concreting of the pipe conveyor support foundation was completed and the backfill of the silos and supports foundations was commenced.

The builders also work on the forest biomass facilities. In this area of works the following works were carried out: forest biomass containers foundation excavation was completed, the lean concrete was laid for three silos, concreting of the forest biomass silos 1 to 3 foundations was finished, silos no 3 wall concreting was completed. The assembly of concrete chutes for the concreting of silo no 2 walls was completed.
