Closer and Closer to Poligeneration

A Letter of Intent concerning the erection of poligeneration power plant has been signed between the Southern Poland Power Company Plc and the Nitrogen Works Kedzierzyn Plc (ZAK) located in Kedzierzyn-Kozle.

The letter was signed by Jan Kurp; the Chairman of the Board signed the letter on behalf on the Southern Poland Power Company and Krzysztof Jalosinski from the ZAK. The signing took place on October 2nd during Silesia Power Meeting fairs held in the Expo Silesia and combined with the Clean Coal technologies conference dedicated to the problem of industry scale application of clean technologies in energy production. The letter of Intent was signed in the presence of Professor Jerzy Buzek who expressed his wholehearted support for the letter signatories.

Both parties declared cooperation during the enterprise commencement of erecting a cutting-edge poligeneration power plant which will produce energy, heat and synthesis gas for the chemistry industry. Its main goal will be to replace the already existing power economy in the Nitrogen Works Kedzierzyn as well as exploited production units with a state-of-the-art power complex situated in Kedzierzyn-Kozle. Accomplishment of the designed enterprise will boost the power security in the Kedzierzyn-Blachownia industry complex and will be the basis for erection of zero-emission power plant.

The parties declare in unison to incur own costs and expenditure related to the actions commenced by virtue of the stipulations included in the letter signed.
