    The chairman, Jan Kurp said that PKE S.A.  would plan a consolidation of t these two mining companies – We use 10 million tons of coal every year. We want the mining concern connected with us to deliver about 70 percent of coal to us.

    Południowy Koncern Energetyczny SA has formed Południowy Koncern Węglowy S.A. (The Southern Mining Concern) on the 25th of January, 2005. The company is taking over property and staff of two mining companies, which are in the Capital Group of PKE: ZGE „Sobieski Jaworzno III” and ZGE „Janina” until July.

    Południowy Koncern Energetyczny is the largest consumer of coal in the country. Koncern uses almost 10 million tons of coal per year. According to the contract with Kompania Węglowa SA.
  • ZGE „ Janina” has the New Collective Agreement of Labour

    The Collective Agreement of Labour was signed by the management board of the company and representatives of eight trade unions. The document is consistent with assumptions which mould the wage policy in the company and were defined during the time of establishing the company a year ago.
  • Permit for „green energy” production

    According to decision of the Energy Regulation Office, PKE Siersza Power Plant received extension of the permit for energy production. The permit includes energy production from the renewable energy sources (RES) by co-combustion of biomass in the form of wood chips with primary fuels in the units number 1 and 2.
