    On January 19, TAURON Wytwarzanie S.A. signed an agreement with the Ministry of Economy (as an intermediary institution for the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment 2007- 2013) for the subsidy with regard to the construction of the biomass-fired boiler in Jaworzno III Power Plant – Power Plant II.

  • Łagisza Power Unit Submitted to the Polish Chamber of Ecology Competition

    PKE SA submitted the undertaking called ‘460 MWe Power Unit with Supercritical Circulating Fluidized-Bed Boiler’ to the 10th Polish Chamber of Ecology Competition ‘EKOLAURY’ in the following categories: air protection, protection against noise and energy saving as well as renewable energy sources. The laureates of the competition are to be announced in June 2011.

  • Flue Gas DeNOxing in Łaziska Power Plant

    Project entitled Construction of flue gas deNOxing plant and 200 MW power units retrofitting was commenced in PKE SA Łaziska Power Plant as part of the pollutant emission reduction program. The company signed a contract for the OP 650k boilers retrofit aiming at the NOx emission reduction with Consortium Strabag Sp. z o.o. and Strabag A.G. on January 24th, 2011.

Warto dodać, że wcześniej w tym szacownym gronie znalazły się dwie elektrownie PKE: Łaziska i Jaworzno. Z krajowych elektrowni są tak jeszcze tylko elektrownie: Opole, Dolna Odra oraz EC Wybrzeże.

The coal consumption decrease enabling CO2 emission reduction by 192 540 ton occurred due to constantly increasing bio-mass share in the in the overall fuel consumption.
