  The Supervisory Board decided to carry out fixing the number of permanent posts in power plants and combined heat and power plants.

  The deadline for the employees of ZEC Bielsko-Biała and other eligible persons to obtain the free shares of the Company.

  The Management Board and the trade unions signed the labour cost reduction package which will remain in force until the end of 2004.

  The Ordinary General Shareholders’ Meeting of PKE approved, among other things, of the balance for 2002.
• 21 of July 2003
  Tripartite agreement is signed among PKE, Kompania Węglowa SA (the mining company) and Spółka Restrukturyzacji Kopalń SA (the company for restructuring of mines) concerning the acquisition of KWK Janina (Janina mine) in Libiąż by the PKE Capital Group.
• 27^th of August 2003
  The Extraordinary General Shareholders’ Meeting of PKE approves of the consolidated balance and the Management Board’s report on the operations of the capital group.
• 20^th of December
  A company agreement for Zakład Górniczo-Energetyczny „Janina” Sp.z o.o. (The “Janina”, Mining-Energy Company “company limited) is signed.
• 22^nd of December
  A letter of intent is signed between PKE and Elektrownia Kozienice SA (Power Plant Kozienice), in the presence of Undersecretary in the Ministry of Treasury – Tadeusz Soroka.
