Łaziska Power Plant, located in Łaziska Górne, is a professional system power plant fuelled by coal. It has an own heat distribution centre.
Our mission
OUR GOAL IS TO PRODUCE ELECTRICAL AND THERMAL ENERGY IN THE SAFE WAY, ECONOMICALLY, ENVIRONMENTALLY CLEAN AND WITH COMPETITIVE PRICES.
Łaziska is a conventional thermal power plant of eighteen system power plants working in the National Energy System. The power plant was built in 1917, in years 1927 – 1953 it was the biggest power plant in Poland. As regards the installed capacity Łaziska power plant is the third in the Silesia region and the ninth in Poland generating ca. 4,2% of the national electrical energy production.
Installed electrical capacity 1155 MWe:
- Two units 125 MWe every
- Three units 225 MWe every
- One unit 230 MWe
Additionally the Łaziska Power Plant has 196 MWt available thermal capacity which is the significant share in the heat supplying the neighbouring industry plants and towns, among others Łaziska Górne.
