Piotr Więcek - Managing Director of the Southern Poland Power Company Blachownia Power Plant (since 01.01.2009). before taking up this position he was the Head Generation Engineer – the Deputy of Production and Ecology Policy Manager in the Southern Poland Power Company Management Center.
He is an engineer and Master of Science specializing in electricity measuring and measuring instruments. He is the graduate of the Silesian University of Technology Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Gliwice. He is also a graduate of various post-graduate studies, trainings as well as managerial and specialist courses.
He commenced his professional career in Laziska Power Plant (1977) in the department of power block operation to be later promoted to the position of engineer on duty responsible for the power plant operation; then the head of power blocks operation department (1986) head engineer responsible for power generation (1989); head engineer responsible for power generation in the Southern Poland Power Company Management Center (2001).
He is married, has got two grown-up children – a daughter and a son. His after work passions include: traveling and photography.
