Second Milling Line in Czatkowice

The second limestone milling line in the Limestone Mine Czatkowice was commissioned on November 26th 2008.

This concluded a two-year thorough plant modernization. The total sum of investment expenses incurred from 1996 to 2008 amounted to PLN130 million. Sorbents used for fume desulphurising installation by means of the wet method and for the fluid boilers will be the product of the modern limestone milling line. They will be mainly directed to power plants and heat and power plants where they are used as the main component in cutting-edge exhaust fume cleaning technologies. Besides the power industry the products will also be used in construction industry, civil engineering and agriculture.

Currently, the Mine sales of all limestone assortments amount to 1.7 million tons annually. The sales income exceeds PLN65 million. The mine employs 350 persons. Thanks to the erection of the second limestone milling line the mine  has become a member of  the biggest limestone product manufacturers group as well as the biggest sorbent provider for the power industry. The predicted production capability amounts to 800 thousand tons per year.
