TAURON Wytwarzanie S.A. is part of the TAURON Polska Energia SA holding; the company's share in the national electrical energy market is 14%, and 16% in the local heat production market.
The signatories of the document are: the Southern Poland Power Company Plc, Bielsko-Biala municipality and the Municipal Company Therma with its main place of business in Bielsko.
The contract will be binding for the period of 19 years – i.e. till the end of 2027. The estimated heat demand from the municipal heating system as of 2012 will amount to 320 MWt. If the demand for the heat from the Southern Poland Power Company sources exceeds a stated value, the Company, on the request of Therma, will undertake actions in order to secure the increased municipal heat demand.
The parties also obliged to renegotiate the contract terms and conditions in case of crucial changes in economic relations or financial condition of the signatories.
