Power Block in Lagisza – ‘an Example to Follow’

‘‘Fossil Fuel – Fired Power Generation – Case Studies of Recently Constructed Coal and Gas – Fired Power Plants" is a study aiming at the presentation of case studies on power plants recently put into operation characterized by the highest efficiency and the lowest greenhouse gasses emission.

They may serve as examples to follow worldwide. The new power block in Lagisza Power Plant is the biggest power block with CFB boiler with supercritical parameters in the world. On September 25, Poland became the 28th member of the International Energy Agency (IEA).

It will enable the use of, among others, the assistance of other member states in the situation of petroleum supply disruption as well as it will allow the use of the broad Agency database concerning the international power market occurrences.
