After several months of functioning with an incomplete Board of Directors, Tauron Polska Energia – major owner of the Southern Energy Concern [Południowy Koncern Energetyczny] – has new authorities. On March 8 the qualification proceedings conducted by the company’s board of supervisors have ended – a new chairman and four vice-chairmen have been chosen.
Mr. Dariusz Lubera has been chosen to the position of an executive chairman of the company. The following persons were elected to the positions of vice-chairmen: Mr. Stanislaw Tokarski (vice-chairman, strategy and development director), Mr. Boguslaw Oleksy (vice-chairman, economy and finance director), Mr. Dariusz Stolarczyk (vice-chairman, management and communication director) and Mr. Krzysztof Zamasz (vice-chairman, trade director).
The new Board of Directors consists of representatives of energy branch exclusively. Mr. Dariusz Lubera is a former Director of the Tarnow Power Plant [Zakład Energetyczny Tarnów] and former vice-chairman of Enion. He has been occupying the position of a President of the Polish Power Transmission and Distribution Association [Polskie Towarzystwo Przemysłu i Rozdziału Energii Elektrycznej] for several years now. Mr. Stanislaw Tokarski is a former strategy and management director of the Southern Energy Concern [Południowy Koncern Energetyczny]. He used to occupy the same position in the Jaworzno III Energy Plant [Elektrownia Jaworzno III] and has been an active member of Eurelectric – Brussels’ branch organization as well as of Polish Electricity Association [Polski Komitet Energii Elektrycznej]. Mr. Boguslaw Oleksy has also started his professional career in the Southern Energy Concern [Południowy Koncern Energetyczny] where he had been employed in the position of a finance director and company’s senior executive. Mr. Dariusz Stolarczyk had been an executive chairman of Wroclaw’s EnergiaPro and of a distribution company from Jelenia Gora. Mr. Krzysztof Zamasz used to be a president of the EC Tychy and PEC Tychy.
