On February 18, in Katowice, the Supervisory Board of the Southern Poland Power Company (PKE) held its first meeting in 2008. Joanna Strzelec-Łobodzińska, the representative and the president of the principal shareholder, Tauron Polska Energia, was elected the president of the Supervisory Board and took over the post formerly held by Filip Grzegorczyk, who resigned in November 2007.
Joanna Strzelec-Łobodzińska was elected the member of the PKE Supervisory Board on January 16, by way of a resolution of the General Shareholders’ Meeting.
At present, the Supervisory Board features 11 members. Pursuant to the articles of the Company, the Board may include up to 12 members – one seat vested in Tauron Polska Energia remains vacant (the Supervisory Board shall include six members representing Tauron, one State Treasury representative and five representatives of the Company’s staff).
Currently, the Supervisory Board features the following members: Joanna Strzelec-Łobodzińska, Ireneusz Komoszyński, Katarzyna Mikołajczyk, Zbigniew Rawiński and Wiesław Włodek (representing Tauron Polska Energia), Lidia Pyzik-Sonik (State Treasury), Andrzej Dziubany, Tadeusz Gadaczek, Kazimierz Kasprzyk, Eugeniusz Lizończyk and Marian Kasperczyk (representing PKE personnel).
