IMS ISO Certificate for PKE

2007.06.13

Larger power plants and heat power plants from the PKE group have already obtained ISO certificates. However, the corporation’s Management Board decided to include the whole company in the certification procedure. The process aimed at the implementation of the Certificate for the Integrated Management System common for all PKE organizational units started in 2003. In December, 2006 an audit was carried out at the Management Centre, Katowice Heat Power Plant and the Complex of Heat Power Plants in Bielsko-Biała. The remaining units completed this procedure in the early months of 2007.

The obtained certificate integrates formerly applied procedures. This is another vital stage for the consolidation of PKE plants, enabling the company to have a fresh view on numerous issues connected with management. The certificate also provides a stimulus for the improvement of many operations.

The improvement of the Integrated Management System especially emphasizes the need to shorten and restore proper flow in communication channels between all company units, which will contribute to the further consolidation of the entire company. (DaW)
