TAURON Wytwarzanie S.A. is part of the TAURON Polska Energia SA holding; the company's share in the national electrical energy market is 14%, and 16% in the local heat production market.
According to estimates ZGE „Janina” will have 60 million loss in this year result and its production will be smaller then planned. In opinion of Mr. Jan Kurp – CEO of PKE – the reasons are among other things long-term technical neglects and many problems during this year as well as no „mining good luck”. PKE has invested in ZGE „Janina” 40 million zł during this year and in the next one there are planned additional 30 million. Merger of both mining companies could be the germ of new mining concern under the aegis of PKE. PKE still is interested in taking over „Bolesław Śmiały” mine (in Łaziska) and other mines. (beer)
